Today: “Asthma: New Lessons from Innate Immunity” Conference by Dr.Finn at PSM
Dr.Patricia W. Finn studied medicine and completed her residency at Albert Einstein College of
Medicine and later pursued a fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine at Massachusetts
General Hospital. She then worked
as a research fellow and instructor of immunology and medicine in the Department
of Cancer Biology at Harvard School of Public Health. In 2005, Dr. Finn was announced the Director of Pulmonary
and Critical Care Medicine at UCSD, whose clinical program is now ranked eighth
in the nation according to the 2008 “America’s Best Hospitals” list from U.S.
News and World Report. She has
over 70 publications and a multitude of honors. Her most recent honor includes the 2009 Elizabeth Rich Award
from the American Thoracic Society recognizing her as a leader, mentor, and
role model in the field of respiratory and critical care and sleep medicine.
She has held more than 10 chair positions and is a reviewer on the editorial
boards of 7 national journals including the New England Journal of Medicine.
